Changes to the 2024-2027 Kahnawą:ke Legislative Agenda04/13/2026The Kahnawą:ke Legislative Commission (KLC) wishes to announce changes to the 2024-2027 Legislative Agenda. The original 2024-2027 Legislative Agenda included the Kahnawą:ke Residency Law, draft Kahnawą:ke Occupational Safety and Health Law (now referred to as the Kahnawą:ke Employment Code), and the draft Kahnawą:ke Tobacco Law, with two remaining spots to be filled from the Waiting List. The two laws moving to the Legislative Agenda are the proposed Kahnawą:ke Environmental Law(s), and the Kahnawą:ke Gaming Law. Exceptionally, there will be two more laws added as these laws require important timely amendments. The laws are, the Mohawk Council of Kahnawą:ke Election Law and Kahnawą:ke Peacekeepers Law, for a total of seven laws on the Legislative Agenda.
