How the process works

The Community Decision Making and Review Process consists of three (3) phases and is carried out as follows:

Phase I: Preparation & Information Dissemination
Front End Information Dissemination
Community/Stakeholder Consultation

Phase II: Hearing
First Hearing
Implementation/Operational/Financial/Legal Plan to Council at Legislative Session
Second Hearing
Formal Reading

Phase III: Enactment
Legislative Session
Confirmation of the Will of the People
Law is Published

** The Community Decision Making and Review Process will evolve over time. Revisions will occur as we learn through experience, as well as through an annual evaluation process.
