Legislative Requests Received by KLC for Amendment of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawake Election Law03/28/2025The Kahnawą:ke Legislative Commission (KLC) wishes to advise the community that it has received requests for amendments to the Mohawk Council of Kahnawą:ke Election Law. Submissions made by Lynn Delisle were received on March 10, 2025. A previous request was made by Dale Jacobs in June 2024. However, the Mohawk Council of Kahnawą:ke Election Law was last amended in April 2024 and must be in force for at least one year from the date of enactment before it can be reviewed in accordance with the Community Decision Making and Review Process (CDMRP). As the current Legislative Agenda has been set these requests will only be placed on the Waiting List in April 2025 for consideration.
