Eligibility Criteria and Selection/Appointment of Judges of Court of Kahnawake Regulations Feedback Report Now Available for Viewing03/03/2025The Kahnawą:ke Legislative Commission wishes to inform the community that the Feedback Report for the draft Regulation Respecting Eligibility Criteria for Appointment of Judges of the Court of Kahnawą:ke and draft Regulation Respecting the Selection and Appointment of Judges of the Court of Kahnawą:ke has been reviewed and analyzed by the Technical Drafting Committee and is now available for viewing. A 30-day review period of the draft regulations took place from November 18 to December 18, 2024, with no feedback received either online or by email for that period. However, feedback was obtained from a focus group held on September 23, 2024, and a kiosk on December 4, 2024. To view the Feedback Report, please click here. The draft regulations are pursuant to the Kahnawą:ke Justice Act which was enacted on June 15, 2015.
