2023 CDMRP Survey Summary09/16/2024The Kahnawą:ke Legislative Commission (KLC) would like to inform the community of the 2023 CDMRP Survey results. Three surveyors conducted the survey from July 7-August 18, 2023, via door-to-door visits, kiosks, as well as phone participants, and 480 surveys were completed. The survey was designed to evaluate the Community Decision Making & Review Process (hereinafter Process) by gauging community members level of satisfaction with the Process. A consultant was hired to analyze the results, and a survey analysis report was produced. To access a copy of the CDMRP survey analysis click here. Like previous surveys and feedback reports completed on the Process, there were two themes or concerns noted throughout the survey: a) the length of time the Process takes, and b) low attendance at CDMRP Hearings/Meetings. It should be noted that people sometimes referred to attendance at meetings as participation. However, the community has always been engaged in the Process with high participation, while it is the attendance at Hearings/Meetings that is sometimes low depending on the subject matter that a law covers.
