Drafting of Regulations for the Kahnawake Cannabis Control Law

The Kahnawà:ke Legislative Commission wishes to advise the community that the Kahnawà:ke Cannabis Control Board has submitted two (2) applications to create the following regulations through the Community Decision Making and Review Process, pursuant to Section 23.1 (y) of the Kahnawà:ke Cannabis Control Law (KCCL):

• a regulation regarding registered suppliers; and,
• a regulation regarding an alternate board member to replace a current member in the event of a vacancy or conflict of interest.

The Technical Drafting Committee will draft these regulations and consult with stakeholders and community members. The consultation process may consist of focus groups, kiosks, public information sessions and/or community consultation meetings.

The community will be informed once the events are scheduled.
