Feedback Report on proposed amendments to the MCK Election Law now available

The Kahnawà:ke Legislative Commission wishes to inform the community that the Feedback Report for the proposed amendments to the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke Election Law is now available for viewing. The feedback was compiled during the 30-day review period that took place from January 19 to February 18, 2024.  

The Law was last amended on February 15, 2018, “The Law is intended to provide criteria and procedures for the nomination and selection of a twelve (12) member Council composed of eleven (11) Ratitsénhaienhs and one (1) Ohén:ton Í:iente ne Ratitsénhaienhs.”
