KLCC seeks Community Rep, appoints Organizational Rep

The Kahnawą:ke Legislative Coordinating Commission (KLCC) is pleased to advise the community that Kawennanóron Lisa Phillips has been appointed as the Organizational Representative on the KLCC.

As the Executive Director of the Kanien’kehį:ka Onkwawén:na Raotitióhkwa Language & Cultural Center, Ms. Phillips brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in consensus-based decision making.

Additionally, the KLCC is calling for interested Kahnawa’kehró:non to submit Letters of Intent to serve as Community Representative on the KLCC for a two-year term. Community Representatives are independent of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawą:ke and serve the interests of the general population.

Eligible persons must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and be registered on the Kahnawą:ke Kanien’kehį:ka Registry. Requirements include attending KLCC meetings, and willingness to attend Community Decision Making Process meetings. The KLCC Representative will be remunerated accordingly. Letters on Intent will be accepted until Friday, January 7, 2022 at 4pm at the following:
