KLCC seeks Organizational Representative

Nominations for Mohawk Council of Kahnawą:ke (MCK) Elected Council Chief were collected by Electoral Officer Angus L. Montour and Assistant Electoral Officer Muriel White-Rice at the Kahnawake Services Complex on Saturday, October 5, 2019 between 10am and 12 noon.

The Kahnawą:ke Legislative Coordinating Commission (KLCC) would like to would like to inform the community that they are seeking a person to fill the position of KLCC Organizational Representative.

Interested persons should be over eighteen (18) years of age, be an indeterminate employee with an Executive Directors Committee* organization, be registered on the Kanien’kehį:ka of Kahnawą:ke Registry and have a sincere interest in the Community Decision Making Process.

The person selected will be formally appointed by the KLCC for a two-year term and will be expected to participate in KLCC meetings (approximately 10 times per year), CDMP meetings and occasional CDMP activities. The meetings usually take place during regular business hours.

Interested persons are asked to submit a letter of intent by Friday, 15 Kentenhkó:wa/November 2019 at 4pm, to the attention of the person indicated below.

*Please note that the organizations that comprise the Executive Directors Committee include the Kahnawake Education Center, Kateri Memorial Hospital Centre, Kahnawake Shakotiia’takéhnhas Community Services, Kanien’kehį:ka Onkwawén:na Raotitióhkwa Language & Cultural Center, Kahnawake Fire Brigade, the Kahnawake Peacekeepers, Kahnawake Youth Center and the Mohawk Council of Kahnawą:ke.
