Final two sections on agenda for tomorrow’s (Tuesday’s) Kanien’keháka of Kahnawake Law Second Hearing

The Kahnawà:ke Legislative Coordinating Commission would like to remind the community that the two remaining sections of the proposed amendments to the Kanien’kehá:ka of Kahnawà:ke Law are the agenda items for tomorrow”s (Tuesday’s) fifth meeting of the Community Decision Making Process Second Hearing.

The agenda will consist of:

  • Section 15, Suspension of Entitlements;  and
  • Section 16, Revocation of Entitlements  

The meeting will take place at the Karonhianóhnha School gymnasium, from 6 to 8:30pm. Copies of the Draft Law and Records of Discussion for previous meetings are available for review at the KLCC website at www.kahnawakemakingdecisions.com.

Should the agenda not be completed, a sixth meeting in the Second Hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, 12 Ohiarí:ha/June 2018 at 6:00pm. However, in the event the final two sections are completed, the Formal Reading of the Law will take place on that same date.
