KLCC seeks two Community Representatives

The Kahnawą:ke Legislative Coordinating Commission (KLCC) is calling for interested community members to submit Letters of Intent to serve on the Commission. Community Representatives serve to represent the voice of the community and are independent of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawą:ke.

The KLCC is seeking one (1) person to fulfill the position for a two-year term and one (1) person to fulfill the position of Youth Representative for a one-year term. The Youth Representative must be between the ages of eighteen (18) and thirty (30) years of age.

Eligible persons must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and a Member on the Kahnawą:ke Kanien’kehįka Registry. Requirements for the position include attending KLCC and Community Decision Making Process meetings. The KLCC Community Representatives will be remunerated accordingly.

Please send Letters of Intent to the attention of Leslie Skye, Interim KLCC Coordinator, at P.O. Box 720, Kahnawą:ke Mohawk Territory, J0L 1B0 or drop off at the main reception of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawą:ke. Letters of Intent will be accepted until Friday, 30 Kenténha/ October 2015 at 4pm.
