Amendments to Election Law going to Final Reading next Thursday

The Kahnawà:ke Legislative Coordinating Commission (KLCC) would like to inform the community that the Final Reading of the Amendments to the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke Election Law will take place this coming Thursday, February 26, 2015.

The event will take place at 6pm at the Golden Age Club. Community members are invited to attend the event.

In accordance with the Community Decision Making Process, the draft law will then be presented for final enactment by Chief & Council at the duly convened Council Meeting.

It is expected that the amendments will be in place for the upcoming 2015 Election for Chief & Council. Those wishing to view the amendments can do so at the KLCC website at www.kahnawakemakingdecisions.com.
