Next Membership Law Amendments meeting set for next Thursday, 21 Enniskó:wa/March

The Kahnawà:ke Legislative Coordinating Commission (KLCC) wishes to remind Kahnawa’kehró:non that the fourth Community Consultation on amendments to the Kahnawà:ke Membership Law will take place from 6pm to 8:30pm next Thursday (21 Enniskó:wa/March) at the Karonhianónhnha School Gymnasium.

The specific item discussed last at the third Consultation was the criteria for Membership. Consensus was not reached on the amendments and the meeting will continue where it left off.

Once consensus is reached on amendments, a working group that includes community representatives will be created and the process for drafting the actual amendments will begin.
