The Common Law
Synopsis: This law was passed by the “Indians in Council” on June 5, 1901 and approved by the Deputy Superintendent General of Indian Affairs on June 12, 1901. This is a law respecting the use of land known as “The Common” and “The Grand Park” for the enjoyment of band members and subject to the conditions and restrictions imposed for the purpose of pasturing of cattle, sheep, swine, horses, mules and other domestic animals.
