Peacekeeper Law
Synopsis: This Law was first enacted by MCR #44/1979-80 on June 13, 1979 and later amended into its current form by MCR #08/2005-2006 on October 17, 2005. This is a law respecting the peace, order, protection and security of persons and property within the Territory. This law establishes the creation of the Kahnawake Peacekeepers, the Peacekeepers Services Board and the Peacekeepers Ethics Committee. The process and procedures for the lodging of formal complaints is contained within the Law.
